Today, Katalyst Consulting Group turns FIVE. ✨

Five years ago today, I sat in my bed around 10 o'clock at night--my kids then five and three with zero understanding how life was about to change--filling out my incorporation paperwork as the name "Katalyst" dropped from seemingly nowhere, and I hit submit.

While I consulted quietly on my own for about a year and half, the community & event elements of our work were born in late 2021 from that singular moment.

When I started this journey as an entrepreneur (mind you with only a private LinkedIn group for other Black Women and WOC consultants and some Google Docs), I couldn’t have imagined the scale of what we’d build together:
​
• A global community of consultants and entrepreneurs (with friendships + partnerships born here that will last a lifetime)
​
• Women traveling the world together, growing businesses and creating joy in the process
​
• Nonprofit clients served with excellence through consulting and contracting talent
​
• Countless moments of connection, courage, and collaboration

This is the heart of Katalyst.

We’re not just gathering women of color consultants in a virtual room or a retreat.

We’re weaving networks of freedom.

✨ Every introduction sparks possibility.
✨ Every convening multiplies opportunity.
✨ Every connection strengthens the ecosystem.

Black and Brown women and others lit up by being in spaces that center us are rewriting the rules of consulting, entrepreneurship, and leadership. My role? To weave the threads so none of us have to do it alone.

Most businesses don’t make it to five years. The fact that Katalyst is here—and still thriving, still evolving, still holding community at the center—feels both humbling and extraordinary.
​
You have been part of this journey: as a member, client, partner, supporter, quiet lurker, and friend…thank you. This milestone is yours too.

Five years in, we’ve proven that when we choose community, we choose resilience. When we choose to support each other, we create impact far greater than ourselves.
